We’re working hard to keep your experience safe and exciting during the COVID-19 pandemic. Indoor karting is one of the few activities that can claim to be very ‘Covid-secure’ – you’ll be on our huge ventilated circuit, fully kitted out in sanitised equipment, with plenty of space to enjoy an exciting experience.
Formula Fast have implemented a number of measures to be fully compliant with the latest government regulations, which we’ve compiled into a handy guide below. These will be updated as needed, in line with the latest advice.
- 10th April 2021 |
The government have announced a last minute, sudden and unexpected ammendment to the COVID regulations, affecting events booked between April 12th – May 16th.
Please see this post for full information. If you have an event booked between these dates, please check your emails for communications from our team.
- 19th December 2020 |
Following the announcement that Tier 4 restrictions now include Milton Keynes, Formula Fast will be temporarily closed from 20th December 2020 under COVID-19 regulations requiring all go-karting venues to close.
We will reopen again when Milton Keynes moves back to Tier 3 or below.
If you have a booking with us that may be affected, we will be in touch – watch your inbox for more information. Please wait for us to contact you, as with immediate effect our team will be operating reduced hours.
We will contact bookings as early as possible, based on the outcome of the next government tier review (tiers are reviewed every two weeks).
Following guidance on the latest Tier restrictions announced for Buckinghamshire from the 19th December, we are pleased to confirm that indoor kart circuits are not required to close.
We will be continuing to run events as per our strict COVID-secure measures, although you should always ensure you are following any government rules that may apply to you (or your area) before attending.
- 31st October 2020 |
Owing to the new lockdown restrictions, the venue will be temporarily closed from the 5th November to 2nd December.
We will be in contact with any affected bookings, and will announce reopening details as soon as we have them.
- 14th September 2020 |
Following the latest restrictions on some group sizes to 6 maximum, we will be implementing social distancing measures for affected ‘non-household’ groups of 7+.
This will not affect your on-track experience, but we may split your group into seperate areas on arrival.
What you need to do
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
BOOK IN ADVANCE
All events and sessions will need to be pre-booked prior to arrival. Unfortunately we are not currently able to accomodate walk-in bookings, but making a booking is easy over the phone or on our new online booking system.
All drivers must pre-register before arriving, as we’re limiting the use of our shared Registration kiosks at the venue itself. You’ll be given a unique registration link in your Booking Confirmation, which you can send to your group for completion before the event.
LEAVE SPECTATORS AT HOME
Unfortunately, non-participanting spectators are not currently permitted in the venue, with the exception of a supervising adult per Junior group. This is to ensure we are not exceeding our venue capacity, in-line with government guidance. For exceptional circumstances, additional spectators must be agreed in advance
FEELING UNWELL? STAY AT HOME
Guests – and staff – feeling unwell with a COVID symptoms (coughing, fever, loss of taste/smell) are being encouraged to stay at home. You won’t be doing anyone (or yourself) any favours by participating when you’re poorly, and you’ll enjoy the experience a lot more if you come back when you’re feeling better.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
PUT ON YOUR FACE COVERING
Face coverings are now required by law at indoor leisure facilities, and you may be fined and/or asked to leave if you are not wearing one. Please ensure they are kept on for the duration of your visit to our venue, including in your own private area. When driving, you may remove your covering as you will be wearing a balaclava and helmet.
WAIT UNTIL YOUR ARRIVAL TIME
We manage capacity at the venue by giving each group specific arrival times. Please wait until your arrival time before heading to the entrance.
When you arrive, you’ll see our controlled access system, which lets people in & out of the venue at intervals to avoid overcrowding on the way to reception. You must wait until the light is green before heading inside.
CLEAN YOUR HANDS
When you come inside, you’ll notice a number of hand sanitising stations located at key points around the venue. Please use these immediately on entering, and feel free to use them throughout your visit.
OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING
You’ll notice markers and signage at key points in the venue, which are there to keep you – and our team – safely distanced from others. Please observe all instructions, and be sure to keep your distance from other groups whilst here, even if there are no markings.
KEEP TO YOUR AREA
We’ve changed things around to give each booking as much space to themselves as possible with their own designated, freshly cleaned area. Instead taking you to various rooms for changing, conducting briefings and so-on, we’ll now be bringing these things to you. Please keep to your area at all times.
PAY USING CARD/PHONE
We’ll normally take payment for your drive in advance, but in case you do need to make a purchase on the day, please remember to bring a card with you or ensure your phone is able to make contactless payments, as we’re not currently accepting cash at the venue.
The new rules are in place to keep you, our team, and others safe at the track. They’re also essential to keeping us open for business. Please be considerate to others and especially to our team, who are working extremely hard to give you an awesome event whilst ensuring we are compliant with the latest COVID regulations.
What you can expect from us
RACE GEAR SANITISATION
We’ve invested in state-of-the-art, medical-grade Ozone sanitising cabinets to fully sterlise racewear and helmets after every use. You’ll always have clean gear to use for your peace of mind.
If you’ve been to us before, you know that Formula Fast is all about providing the very best exclusive motorsport experience. This just got even better, as groups will be given their own dedicated area to themselves for the duration of their event.
FOOD & DRINKS
Our new cafe/snack bar will be open during your visit. Whilst we always recommend ordering hot food in advance, snacks and drinks may be purchased on the day. Please ask your host to bring these to your room, and tabs must be settled by your organiser at the end of your visit.
Our team will be wearing appropriate PPE and will be observing social distancing to keep themselves, and you, safe. They will be enforcing our measures and working hard to make your experience memorable – so please help them out by complying with all the rules. Any staff member displaying Covid-19 symptoms will be asked to stay at home and book a test, and isolate themselves in case of a positive result.
KEEPING FORMULA FAST CLEAN
Finally, it should go without saying that we’ll be working overtime to keep the venue clean and spotless. However, we always appreciate our guests helping to keep things tidy, so please use the bins provided, keep your belongings to hand and avoid touching things that are outside of your designated area.
Check out our video below explaining the measures we’ve put in place to safely reopen.
