Well done to all of our Championship racers on Wednesday… with a full grid of 10 drivers, all having had their fair share of practice at our circuit it made for an interesting event.
We were implementing the “stop and go” pitstop technique which would be used for the British Rental Karting Championships the following weekend. A simple rule to mix up the racing whereas the drivers would have to complete 1 pit stop during the race which involved them stopping in a marked box in the pit lane before continuing their session.
It certainly stirred things up – but also made for some interesting overtaking opportunities.
We also managed to get a LiveStream webcam of the event running so those not attending could watch their friends (rivals) performance and pick it apart the following day on Facebook. Banter.
