Formula Fast are proud to announce the opening of our brand new private function room. This exclusive area is available for groups of up to 12 drivers with an amazing view of the track, and live timing on a widescreen TV.

Your room hire time will depend on your booking, but is usually available for the duration of your event on track and for up to 60 minutes afterwards. If you require alternative timings please verify this with our team before the day.

JUNIOR PARTY ITINERARY

1. Arrival
Arrival is strictly 45 minutes prior to the event time. Drivers complete their registration on our high-tech kiosks in reception. Your Formula Fast host will talk you through the final details and settle any remaining balance before escorting the drivers through to the changing rooms to be kitted up in full racewear.
2. Drivers Briefing
Drivers Briefing is next, and it’s time to pay attention as we’ll be talking you through all the rules and do’s and don’ts of the track and session. Whilst the briefing is straightforward, everyone must be paying close attention as there is a verbal quiz before drivers are allowed through to the next stage to ensure a good understanding of the rules.
3. Racegear
Helmets, gloves & neck supports are fitted by our team in the appropriate size for each driver. All race equipment is designed with safety in mind, although an added bonus is each driver looks – and feels – just like an F1 star. It’s then down to the pitlane for final quiz, pep talk and kart tuition.
4. Pitlane Tuition
Kart control tuition is an important part of all junior events and our instructors spend a lot of time with each driver ensuring they are completely confident on the controls. Typically, a junior group of 6 will spend around 10 minutes in the pitlane for the tuition stage before the session starts, although this can vary from group to group.
5. The Session
Time to race: once each driver is deemed ready to race by the track team, drivers are sent onto the circuit for an amazing timed session on our 500m+ British Championship circuit (6 drivers per session). It’s all about smoothness, with the fastest drivers topping the scoreboards. Spectators can watch the action from our mezzanine viewing area.
6. Post Race
After the chequered flag drops, drivers are escorted back upstairs to return racegear. Booked a yummy pizza buffet? Then it’s time to eat… otherwise, it’s on to the podium presentation with trophies for the fastest driver and birthday boy/girl, and laptime analysis sheets for all drivers. A birthday cake is included in the package and is usually served after the presentation.

Is it safe?
Karting is a very safe form of motorsport and we take safety very seriously. Check out our page on safety here.
How strict is the age/height limit?
For insurance and safety reasons, this is strictly enforced and proof of age may be required (8yrs & 125cm minimum).
What clothes should we wear?
Drivers should wear comfortable clothes and enclosed, flat-soled shoes (ideally trainers). We provide the rest! Scarves are not allowed & long hair must be tied & tucked in.
Can I leave the kids with you?
Whilst we handle nearly everything for you, a responsible adult needs to be present throughout to supervise the group.
Are spectators allowed?
Please see our COVID-19 page for the current rules on spectators.
Are the karts limited in speed?
Yes and no. We teach full control with the kart unrestricted, but we can remotely limit the speed of each kart if necessary (for example, when there’s a red/yellow light).
Is there a café and bar?
Yes, there is a café selling hot/cold drinks, plus snacks and hot food (groups must pre-order). We do not serve alcohol.
Does each parent need to sign?
No. As long as you have the parent’s permission to act ‘in loco parentis’ you may sign on behalf of each driver.
Can we bring our own food & drink?
As we have our own onsite catering, there is normally a cover charge of £50 for bringing your own which includes a private area.
Will there be anyone else on track?
No, all Junior Party groups are given exclusive use of the circuit so nobody else will steal your fun! (6 drivers per session)
What happens if we are late?
Unfortunately if you are late we cannot guarantee you can drive. There are several unmissable safety aspects and we have to guarantee timings for subsequent bookings.
Someone hasn’t turned up…what now?
As the junior party is a package price for up to 6 drivers, unfortunately we cannot refund if you have drivers that do not turn up on the day. However, we can allow siblings and other juniors (in the same group) to fill any empty slots providing they are on-time and drive sensibly.
