|5 Fast Ways Of Keeping The Kids Entertained This Easter

The Easter Holidays are just around the corner, and if you’re one of the many parents looking desperately for activities to keep the kids occupied over the next few weeks, help is at hand.

Formula Fast offer a range of speed-related activities for kids aged 8-14, whatever their prior experience in a kart. Parents can even join in the fun for a family session, although don’t be surprised if your youngster is showing you a thing-or-two after a few laps!

Check out our top picks for this year’s Easter break…

#1 – JUNIOR TIMED PRACTICE
A classic favorite, this is the easiest way of getting your youngster on the track for some mileage in a racing machine. We provide all the gear and instruction to get them safely on the track: you choose how long you’d like them to do. Laptime printouts are provided, and there is good availability for a wide range of times (also check out our Online Booking). The more time you choose, the cheaper per minute the session becomes…

#2 – FAMILY TIMED PRACTICE
If you can’t bear to let your kids have all the fun, this one is for you. Identical to the Junior Timed practice, but adults will be driving the full size 200cc Sodi karts whilst the kids handle our ‘pocket-rocket’ 120cc Biz Evo Cadets. Laptimes are always surprisingly close, and the racing is kept safe using our state-of-the-art speed control system. Family sessions are exclusive only, so your family have the whole track to themselves.

#3 – JUNIOR ACADEMY
A firm fixture on the kids activity calendar, Junior Academy is held on selected Fridays during school holidays. Parents – you get the morning off, as after you’ve dropped the kids off with us they’ll be getting multiple sessions on track, with driver feedback, on & off track activities and a pizza lunch to round it all off. Junior Academy is open to all – drivers are grouped according to their experience/ability before driving starts.

#4 – BRIGHT SPARKS JUNIOR INDUCTION
Never karted before? No problem. Formula Fast’s Bright Sparks Induction sessions are the perfect way to introduce novice drivers to motorsport for the first time. The aim is to teach control, with an eventual goal of bringing laptimes down with guided tuition, as confidence increases. Call to check availability in advance – sessions are normally held on weekdays and Sundays with our instructors.

#5 – RACE CLUBS
For juniors who have had a taste of speed and are craving a chance to test their racecraft, Race Clubs are a great way to practice racing in a non points-scoring environment. A practice and several mini race heats with mixed grids are packed into several 20 minute Club sessions on a Sunday morning. There is a laptime threshold for drivers to enter clubs – check with a member of staff for eligibility.

A karting session is a guaranteed winner with any speed-hungry youngster, and with our huge arena open in all conditions, you don’t have to worry about your event being rained off (or the kids coming back with soggy clothes).

Don’t leave it too long to book – our Easter slots get filled very quickly in advance.

You can now check availability and book certain open sessions online – but if you can’t find the slot you’re looking for, call us and one of the team will arrange a format and time to suit you.

See you on the grid next week!
